The Cheapest, Fastest Way to Advertise on the Internet: Forum Posting

Posting on forums is one of the cheapest and fastest ways in which you can advertise affiliates products on the Internet. However, in order to do this successfully, you must do a number of things carefully.

Warning! Simply starting a thread that contains an affiliate link might be a good way to get banned from a particular forum board, but it will never be a good way to make sales.

The general procedure involves making multiple posts on a forum board before you even setup a signature file, which includes a link to your site. Even if the particular forum you are using does not specifically mandate this, you will want to do this, anyway, as it will increase your credibility – which is your real goal.

You can start by finding a number of forums for your particular niche or marketing angle. You can find massive lists of forums at the following two URLs:

www.big-boards.com

board123.com/forum_directory

The first resource is currently the largest forum directory on the Internet. The second resource contains lesser directories, but includes some that are not listed on Big Boards.

Now, once you have selected a number of directories that match your specific marketing angle and affiliate product, you will want to investigate to determine whether or not they have excess rules regulating signature files.

For instance, some sites do not allow any links in signature files; others, by contrast, allow links, but do not allow any commercial links. Make sure you know what the rules are before you post. Otherwise, you are simply setting yourself up to be banned from the forum.

Next, take the list of forums you have created – that are both relevant to your topic and allow commercial links – and begin developing a reputation on those forums. Post regularly, avoid meaningless fights and flaming, and contribute useful, on-target information to discussions. In a matter of 1-2 weeks, you will have developed a reputation, provided that the forum receives a considerable amount of traffic.

Once you have developed a good reputation, you will want to begin advertising through your forum signature. Ideally, you will want to include some eye-catching assortment of colors, symbols, and words in your signature.

This will draw people's attention. You will then want to link them to something other than an affiliate page – whether it be a page you created to sell an affiliate product or an auto responder course used to capture email addresses.

Remember to repeat this process in all applicable forums. Look for high traffic forums that allow commercial link posting in signature files – and that also happen to fit with your specific audience-targeting and marketing angle goals.

Next, create a reputation. Last, add your signature in some attractive way that draws visitors' attention, but is also likely to convert them into interested clickers. You will find that this form of advertising pays off considerably – and does so faster than other methods available.

The Importance Of Niche Research Before Setting Up Your Blog

By: Art Luff

Have you noticed the popularity of Blogs? Cheez, There's a bunch of them out there. It's getting more difficult to tell one from another. Having made that observation, it's pretty safe to assume that you'd better have something pretty unique to offer and you're going to have to decide who your target market is. Or what niche are you targeting and what do you have to offer that 9000 other marketers are not offering? What will your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) be?

Once you've answered those questions to your satisfaction, you'll be able to build a loyal readership, maybe even make a few bucks, with a little luck and some hard work.

Now the Internet is an endless source of resources for finding those tasty little morsels and Blogging is a pretty simple way to get your message out there but only after you've done your research. Heck, you can set up a free blog at Blogger.com in all of five minutes. But answering the questions above could take anywhere from five hours to five days. Don't mean to scare anyone off, it's just the reality of the internet or any business for that matter. So if your looking for an easier, softer way? You may as well just pick up your marbles and get into a different game.

Experience has taught me that as an Internet Marketer I am in the business of solving problems. So, it is my job to find a group of people with a common problem. It doesn't need to be a huge group, actually it usually begins with a small group and if I've done my job at solving their particular problem, it can grow to immense proportions. Let's brainstorm a bit. Where can we go to discover a problem that needs solved? That's Easy. Everywhere and anywhere.

You can open up your email and scan headlines to see what problems others are solving. How to find a date, what autoresponder is best, how to use an ftp program, how to end a relationship, how to make money, who's offering the best airfares, anyone been to the Baja. I'm sure you see my point. Problems are everywhere. It's simply a matter of identification and locating the solution.

You can also lurk or post in marketing forums in your search for an idea. Good blogging starts with a good idea. Once again, scan the posts and see if there's a group of posts that has people stumped. Write an article or report and link to it in your signature. Provided the forum allows this. Make sure you know the rules of each forum as leaving a link where it's not allowed can get you flamed at the least or banned from the board at the worst.

RSS Readers are available for free at www.rssreader.com/ You can subscribe to as many rss feeds as you want. This is a wonderful resource for niche research. As is Nichebot.com/ just enter a few keywords to see how many times that keyword has been searched for.

Inventory.Overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ works the same way. Just enter a keyword and bam, there you have it. Blog directories can be found on Google.com. Do a search to find out what people are blogging about. Ideas are everywhere.

Get used to the idea of writing articles, reports, ebooks etc. This will be your Golden Egg. You, of course will be the Goose! Once you've decided where your going and what your doing. Go ahead and start out with a free blog. Do a search on Google. Since Google owns Blogger.com that will come up in the #1 spot. There are others, plenty of others.

Interject as much of your own personality into your blog. Let people get to know you. Build relationships with people. Earn the Trust of your peers. Give freely of yourself, as it will serve you well.

Getting the word out about your blog will require some effort on your part. Like I mentioned earlier, Locate as many blog directories as you can and submit your blogs address to them.

Write articles about your chosen niche and leave a link to you blog in your resource box at the end of your article. Do the same thing with Newsletter and Ezine Publishers in the niche of your choice. Don't forget to post those articles to your own blog.

Reading and Writing are absolutely necessary for your business survival. Spend time in article directories reading other authors articles in your niche. Take the time to sit down with a pen and tablet. Copy the work of noted writers like Marlon Sanders, Jim Edwards, Joe Vitale, And Jimmy Brown. I don't mean copy and use their work. Just write down their work. I cannot explain it but something happens when you write it down. I guess it puts you in a creative frame of mind and you grow in understanding. It's a wonderful thing.

Know This: Your not going to do it perfectly. You will look back on your early work and you'll get a chuckle. To Quote Marlon Sanders, "You Don't Have To Get It Right, You Just Have To Get It Going"! And whatever you do NEVER EVER QUIT!

Good Luck and God Bless,

Art Luff

5 Reasons Why Most Network Marketers Fail

The network marketing business can be an extremely lucrative
one, and indeed many people make a fantastic living from the
industry. However, the sad reality is that over 90% of
people who enter the network marketing industry fail to
build significant downlines, and indeed often fail to sell a
single product or recruit a single member.

So why is this, and why is network marketing so difficult?

Well I believe there are 5 main reasons for this:

1. Lack of knowledge.

Quite simply, most people are lured in by the promises of
riches, but when they join a program they quickly discover
that they do not know how to successfully build their own
downline and grow their business. This is nothing to be
ashamed of because we all have to start somewhere, but it's
important to prepare yourself, before you even think about
joining a network marketing program, by reading as much
material as you can, and studying and learning from other
successful network marketers about how you can successfully
promote your product or program.

2. Lack of support from your upline.

This is linked to the first point, in that it's important
that you choose your upline carefully when joining a
program. While it's very easy to look for the big-hitters
who could place many members beneath you through spillover,
in most cases these people are extremely busy and will not
have the time to help people on an individual basis, so you
will be left on your own to figure out how you can
successfully promote your program.

3. No duplicable system in place.

Following on from the last point, unless you have a
duplicable system in place that you can copy from your
upline, you will have to work out how to promote your
program on your own. A good upline will have a system you
can use yourself that will help you build your own downline.
Examples could include an advertising co-op where downline
members pool their resources to pay for advertising, and
then share any referrals they get, or it could simply be a
list of useful advertising resources you can use that your
upline has used themselves and can recommend. Whatever it
is, a good upline should help you in some way to build your
own downline.

4. Inability to offer help and support to your own downline.

Many people do manage to attract a few people into their
organization, but fail to offer necessary support to the
people they bring in, so subsequently soon start to see
members of their downline quitting the program. This can be
demoralising, so even if you yourself are not receiving
support from your own upline, you should make sure that you
are helping your own downline. After all, if you have
managed to recruit a few members yourself, share your
methods with your downline, and they can replicate what you
are doing.

5. Lack of discipline.

The final reason why the vast majority of network marketers
fail is simply down to a lack of discipline. Network
marketing companies themselves are partly to blame for this
in my opinion, as they often lure people in with the main
selling point being how much they can earn from promoting
the program. As a result many people wrongly come to expect
instant riches within a few months of joining a program, and
quit the program because this hasn't proven to be the case.
However, the harsh reality is that you can be wildly
successful in this industry, but it takes time, and
certainly doesn't happen overnight (unless you have your own
mailing list of thousands you can promote your program to).
Similarly it's important to remain focused. Too many people
give up after a few weeks of promoting, and not being able
to sign up anyone, but please don't give up. If one method
of promotion isn't working, move on to another, and keep
persevering until you find a method of promotion that does
work effectively.

you are involved with:
