I hope all is well with you.
Over the last week I've been editing and rewriting some of the
private label articles sitting on my computer. I'm also waiting
to launch a new niche website focusing on "pets". Should be
ready to go real soon.
One of the first lessons that you'll learn in developing your
home based internet business is the importance of a mailing list.
So many marketers say that without a mailing list your chances
of generating a reasonable income is zilch. A mailing list
captures the visitors who decide not to purchase your products
or take advantage of the services you offer the first time they
load up your website. Apparently there are roughly 99.7% of
these visitors. So immediately, you'll realize how critical it
is not to lose these visitors, as they could account for a great
percentage of the sales for your future offers. In Internet
marketing, a lost visitor is a lost sale, after all.
Building your list takes time and persistence. And most
important, the subscribers must be opt-in. Do not go and buy
a list because you will end up with more problems and hassles
than you bargained for.
All the best,
Bryan

Pre-Sell Your Way to Affiliate Marketing Success
By Bryan Thorby
Affiliate programs have long been hailed as the easiest and
quickest way to start earning a reasonable income online, and
for good reasons!
You don't have to create your own products and test-drive them
to death. You have an entire inventory of proven products to
choose from!
You don't have to set up a merchant account or need to come up
with a digital store to process payments from a variety of
payment solutions. This is provided as well.
You don't have to hire an expensive copywriter to prepare a
sales page for you. One is provided, with a proven conversion
rate at that.
What's best is that you are not limited to only one affiliate
program. You can join as many affiliate programs you want!
The more programs you join, the better your chances are of
earning a lot! Although I offer a word of caution. Focus is
an important element for your success. Start by joining one or
two programs and concentrate on pre-selling these.
For every successful sale that you refer to the affiliate
merchant, you earn a commission that can be in the range of
20% to 95%! Some high ticket items may be as low as 10%.
The keyword in marketing affiliate programs is pre-selling.
Pre-selling is very much different from actual selling. You
don't concern yourself with the usual demands of actually
distributing a product for profit. All you have to do is to
market the affiliate merchant's products and drive people to
affiliate merchant's sales page. Thereafter, the affiliate
merchant's system takes care of the rest, from accepting and
processing payments, to delivering the goods, to customer
support.
So how do you effectively pre-sell an affiliate product?
Here are some proven strategies you can employ to encourage
people to visit the affiliate merchant's sales page.
* YOUR OWN WEBSITE. Set up your own website and create content
that is a useful resource and keyword rich for search engines.
The idea is to have content that provides information and
leads the website visitor onto the affiliate merchant's website.
Your content is NOT a sales pitch.
You also need to do you utmost to collect the website visitors
email address for your ezine or autoresponder course so that
you get to followup, before they visit the affiliate merchant's
website.
Your website is not a place to slap up a multitude of banners
and hope they'll do the job - they won't!
* ARTICLE MARKETING. Write an article about a topic related
to the affiliate product you are pre-selling. Include a
resource box with a link to your website page that contains
your affiliate link. Submit the article to as many article
directories as you can. A lot of people refer to these article
directories for information, and once they read your piece as
well as your resource box, you're bound to win some referrals.
Other website owners may also post your article in their ezine
or website which gives you incoming links to your website.
Currently there are a lot of private label articles available.
I suggest you edit and rewrite each one. For uniqueness Search
Engines and Article Directories need the article to have been
altered by about 20 - 25%. That's around 150 - 180 words per
750 word article. Change the wording, add more paragraphs,
cut and paste information from other articles to make a
completely unique article.
* FORUM MARKETING. Join as many relevant forums as you can
find. With your membership in each of them, you'll be allotted
a signature box where you can place your website link. Your
signature box will appear in every post that you make. Try to
make informative posts and definitely NOT sales pitches, as
blatant sales pitches can get you banned from the forum.
* BLOGS. Blogs figure prominently in search engine page
results. Having your own blog will help you promote your
website and affiliate links. Simply pattern your entries as
reviews or informative pieces with suggestions.
To get the most from your blog it needs to be hosted at your
website so the search engines can improve your ranking by
recognizing your content. If the blog is somewhere else it
doesn't contribute to your websites content.
These are just some of the more popular ways of pre-selling the
affiliate merchant's products. Remember, there is always
strength in numbers, so develop strategies to drive as many
people as possible to your website and onto the affiliate
merchant's sales page, and you will start to enjoy a rewarding
experience with affiliate programs.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO INCREASE T.RAFFIC TO YOUR WEB SITE?
by Charlie Cook
www.marketingforsuccess.com
You built a web site to create a surge of inquiries and new
business, but hardly anyone even drifts by, much less stays to
learn about your company. Given the time and m0ney you've spent,
you're frustrated that your web site hasn't turned into a pr0fit
center overnight, and you're inclined to dismiss its
revenue-generating potential.
Don't! There are three excellent ways to bring people to your
web site.
1. The Best Way to Attract Visitors
Unquestionably the best way to channel a flood of visitors to
your web site is to get it listed at the top of every search
engine. If prospects can find your web site in the first ten
spots on Google, Yahoo and MSN, you'll get plenty of visitors.
Even a listing within the top twenty will bring in a steady
stream.
You know that search engine position depends on keywords and the
way they are used on your site. Search engines look at the
frequency of use on your page and number of links to relevant
pages.
If you've ever worked with the site code yourself to try to get
to a top position in the search engines, you know that it is not
obvious how to succeed at this. The experts (and many who claim
to be search engine specialists are not
expert) charge $12,000 to $30,000 and up annually, per site, to
achieve and maintain top search engine positions.
Thanks to top placements for several keywords, my site attracts
over 35,000 unique visitors each month. You or someone in your
firm can achieve this, too.
Don't have the time to do your own search engine positioning or
a budget of $12 to 30 thousand dollars for the task?
Write me and I'll refer you to a reputable firm that can help
you.
2. The 2nd Best Way to Attract Web Site Visitors
Top search engine positions make a big difference, but if you
don't want to invest the time or m0ney to put your site at the
top of the search engines, there is a virtually no-cost
technique you can use to bring in qualified prospects.
Thousands of online ezines and newsletters are hungry for
content, and your prospects are always looking for ideas that
will improve their businesses or their lives. Write short
articles with ideas and information that your target market can
use, send it to the ezines, and links from those back to your
site will bring hundreds or thousands of prospects right to your
'door'.
One article I sent out last December, 'What Santa Knows About
Marketing' was picked up by over a thousand ezines, newsletters
and web sites, and is still listed ten months later.
3. The 3rd Best Way to Attract Web Site Visitors
I love Google Ads and you should, too. They are simple to set
up, you pay only when people c.lick on your ads, and you can set
daily budget limits. They look like the easiest way to attract
qualified leads to your web site. Why aren't they the number one
way to attract web site visitors? Because making Google Ads
profitable is more complex than it first appears.
Have you tried Google Ads? What were your results?
Lots of companies use Google Ads, but few can justify the cost
based on the s.ales generated. It turns out that to make your
Google Ads pay for themselves, you need to pay careful attention
to keyword selection, the wording of your ad, and the layout,
wording, and links on the page that people are sent to from the
ad.
Given the challenge and the cost associated with search engine
positioning, and depending on your particular product or
service, Google Ads may be the best way to attract visitors. Use
the approach outlined above to put them to work for your
business.

The Power of Positive Thinking
Internet Tip of the Week
by Bob Osgoodby
The Power of Positive Thinking
The late Norman Vincent Peale was a controversial preacher who
burst into public consciousness with his best-selling book, "The
Power of Positive Thinking". He believed that ordinary people
could become really quite remarkable when they start thinking
that they can do things, and when they believe in themselves,
they have the secret of success.
So many people trying to start a business, don't believe in
themselves. They look for advice from self proclaimed "gurus"
and try very little on their own. Many will tell you about the
power of duplicatable systems and, while much of this is true,
it is not always necessary to re-invent the wheel.
A duplicatable system does not demand that you memorize a
script. It basically means that you know your product, and have
seen what has worked for others, and follow their lead. If you
add your own ingenuity and your sales efforts, you will do even
better.
If you aren't the creative type, it really is best to follow a
tried and true system. But if you are, you are selling yourself
short if you don't branch out and develop some of your own
techniques. If you believe in yourself as well as your product
you have a winning combination.
If you look back in history, you will see many examples of
ordinary people who have achieved extraordinary results. Many
of the best known people who have left their mark in the pages
of history, failed a number of times on their climb up the
ladder. This is not a "history lesson" so we won't go into the
specifics, but there is no doubt this is true.
These people all had something in common. They had self
confidence as well as tenacity in achieving their goals, and a
sense of fulfillment. Most successful people have a "can do"
attitude. While failure is always a possibility, they don't
become fixated on avoiding failure and approach life with an
upbeat attitude.
You must however have a goal clearly in mind. This can be
referred as a vision of what you want your life to be. It's
like the parent asking their child what they want to be when
they grow up. If you don't have a clear vision as to where you
want to be, your odds of success are greatly diminished. You,
and only you, can decide where you want to go on your travel
through life.
But you can't sit on the top of a hill and think pleasant
thoughts all day. You have to come down to the real world and
set your goals and objectives. You have to set priorities and
have a plan to meet them on a regular basis. You must have a
plan of action, and follow it. In other words, "plan your work
and work your plan". While things come up to delay you at times,
you must meet your goals each day. You must be organized, and
have a system in place to attain your objectives. Without one,
your ship will certainly founder. Excuses don't count. Leave
these behind you. Build your own personal image of success.
Do you spend any time honing your skills? Community involvement
is a great way to do this. Get out and meet people. Do some
public speaking - anything to allow you to practice your
techniques when dealing with people. Most sales are not product
driven. If people believe in you, you are more than halfway
home to making a sale.
If you are fired with enthusiastic ideas and allow them to
dominate your thoughts, you will find that new horizons will
open. As long as your enthusiasm lasts, so will new
opportunities. Don't wait for the world to beat a path to your
door - it won't. Search out and seek new ventures.
Allow yourself to think outside the boundaries. Remember,
failure is merely a stepping stone on your road to success, and
if you exercise positive thinking, you will reach your objective.
