Do You Suffer From The Work at Home Blues?
By Bryan Thorby
Remember all the reasons you decided to quit your job and work
from home? Like the annoying people you had to share an office
with, the daily trek to and from work or missing out on special
occasions.
These and so many other reasons why you started a home based
business. And even though you wanted to work at home all day,
you might find that you start to miss all or some of the things
that you had at work.
Now you are all alone. You get up for another day of work.
Your children are off to school, your spouse is on the way
work. Even most of your neighbors are off doing their thing.
Your house feels empty, and your neighborhood is deserted.
It's all too easy to stay in casual clothing and sit on the
couch in this situation. You may begin to feel like your work
can wait or that it is pointless. If you get stuck or you need
help you have no one to turn to because it's just you, your are
own your own.
You may not feel like it's affecting you, but the lack of human
interaction could be causing more trouble than you think. Ask
yourself these questions honestly.
Have you been more irritable recently, less energetic, or have
you felt upset or sad without much reason? If you have, then you
could be suffering from the work at home blues.
What can you do to get over it and get motivated again?
One thing you can do is get online and do a quick search to
find a few forums, especially ones dedicated to people who run
home businesses. You might be pleasantly surprised to find that
you are not alone at all.
Finding friends on forums or message boards can be good
substitute for the lost interaction you are experiencing. More
than that, it can offer you a good outlet for your frustrations
and problems. Many of the people you will be talking to are
going through or have gone through the same thing themselves,
and will be more than happy to offer support and advice.
Just keep in mind that interaction is good but don't let it
interrupt your work. You don't want this activity to be a time
waster and a means for avoiding your daily tasks. Set limits,
give yourself a certain amount of time each day to talk and
don't go over it.
There are so many thing you can do to overcome the work at home
blues, so get out of your current state of mind and get busy
finding people and ways to increase your positive attitude.
I believe that one of the most important aspects of running your
home based business is to absolutely have a strong belief in
what you are doing and keep focused on the potential and why you
started in the first place.

The Little Known Secrets of Million Dollar Home Based Business
Opportunities
That's right... there really are million dollar home based
business opportunities out there. Where? Well to be honest
they're everywhere! Just like beauty being in the eye of the
beholder so is opportunity. Opportunity really does greet us
at every corner we turn! Opportunities are even laid out for
us step by step and yet most of us either don't see them or
don't believe what do see.
You see the real secret is . . .
ALL home based business opportunities are million dollar
opportunities. It's all in what you make of them. So let me
give you a not so common example of what I mean by this.
I'm current in the midst of reading "Bringing Down the
House" by Ben Mezrich. If you are not familiar with the
story then let me give you a quick summary. The story
revolves around six college student that devised a way to
beat the odds playing black jack in Las Vegas. They became
so good at this task that over the years they won millions
and were never detected.
Wow I thought...
Six kids created an extremely lucrative business out of
playing black jack in Las Vegas.
Now normally...
Casinos make billions of dollars from having favorable odds
in there table games each and every year, yet these six
students discovered how to turn those odds in their favor
and exploited that opportunity for millions.
They took a situation where the average person would have
concluded rationally that there was no opportunity to win
and they won. These six college students literally devised a
way to change the odds and then created a "system" to ensure
that they would succeed. In Las Vegas, no one is supposed to
win, but they did!
So let me ask you a question,
If a bunch of college kids can make millions against the
odds why can't you and I make millions when all the odds are
in our favor?
Most home based business opportunities offer turnkey
solutions that give the average person the most favorable
chance possible of creating a profit in there home business.
Yet, even with the odds in their favor most people still
fail in there home based business attempts.
Why?
Greed... Most people think that all they have to do is pay a
few dollars and then money is going to start knocking at
there door. Well, you and I know that's not how it works...
What I failed to mention above about "Bringing Down the
House" was that the students trained rigorously on the inner
most details of there system before taking it live to Las
Vegas. They were prepared for anything and everything and
they literally new their system by heart. They set
themselves up for success before the ever took a chance!
(and that's the key too success when it come down to it)
Most home business entrepreneurs do the opposite. They don't
prepare at all. They put there money on the line, they don't
learn the "system", and then they fail. Then they claim they
failed because the "system" didn't work. Well, it's my
opinion that most home based business entrepreneurs fail not
because the "system" didn't work, but rather because they
didn't work the system correctly.
Don't let this happen to you in your home business efforts.
Please feel assured that if you've had proper preparation
and you work your system long enough then the odds will end
up on your side.
So the secret to running million dollar home based business
opportunities is very simple and can be summed up in 5
simple steps:
- Spot an opportunity
- Create or take advantage of a system to exploit that
opportunity
- Prepare thoroughly to exploit that opportunity
- Then work your system with the odds are in your favor
until you make a profit
- Continue . . .

Free Websites Showcase Your Videos Online
- by Jim Edwards

If you didn't realize that video will take over online this
year, you haven't been paying attention.
Everything from video blogs to full-blown website
infomercials keep cropping up all across the Internet.
The driving force behind this video explosion is a
combination of cheap bandwidth, easy-to-use authoring tools,
and Flash video (a video format that works on both PC and
MAC).
With the sudden increase in homemade videos about everything
from "how-to break dance" to infomercials about real estate
products, it seems only natural that another explosion
should follow: the appearance of numerous websites that
showcase these homegrown Steven Spielberg's.
In fact, these online videos have gained so much popularity
some have even crossed over into mainstream television.
Of the three main online video hosting services I looked at,
they all shared the following characteristics.
They all allow you to upload your video and host it free of
charge, making it super easy for even the most technically
challenged videographer.
They all allow visitors to search their sites using
keywords, so describing your video and choosing a good title
(with keywords people search for) will help increase your
exposure.
One of the most exciting features common to these sites is
that they allow you and others to get copy-and-paste code
that you can place on a blog or website (or anywhere else
you can paste html code) and display a video without hosting
it yourself.
This one feature can cause an explosive "viral" effect if
you create a video that appeals to a mass audience because
people can not only pass it along, but post it in additional
locations for everyone to see.
Video.Google.com - Google's video service makes it possible
to upload and play your videos for people searching through
their growing catalog of homegrown video.
You'll find everything from web-cam karaoke to infomercials
and "live" seminars. One of the best things about Google
video is the daily report about how many pages views your
video got during the previous day or week.
Also, Google allows you to charge for your videos if you
want, something the other sites don't yet offer.
A disadvantage of the service is that, of the three, Google
Video takes the longest to approve your videos and make them
available, sometimes taking 48 hours or longer to make a
video "live."
YouTube.com - YouTube seems to want to foster a feeling of
community with its video portal.
Unlike Google Video, which requires a separate software
program to upload video, YouTube allows users to upload
video right through their website interface. Of the three
sites profiled here, YouTube's embedded player makes it
easiest to share and pass along video from a blog.
They also approved my video and had it live online in less
than 10-minutes.
IFilm.com - The coolest thing about IFilm.com is the fact
that they have a show on VH1 every Friday called "Web Junk
20" which features the funniest web videos of the week on
real television.
They also actively promote the concept of "viral videos"
with a separate category in their directory profiling videos
you want to share.
The only negative was that their pass-along player forces
viewers to watch a short ad about IFilm at the beginning,
something the other two don't do.
