The Secret of Identifying & Tapping Into Affiliate Goldmines Online
Cashing affiliate checks can be drop dead simple IF you let other people
do the work for you. And I'm going show you EXACTLY how I do just
that....I'm going to run down a cool affiliate strategy here to get up &
going making money from an affiliate offer. The magic bullet is
researching what has ALREADY been done for you. So, let's talk about how
to use a "spy" tool in order to get the most of from Pay Per Click.
Pay Per Click (bidding for keyword terms in search engines) can be very
effective IF used the right way. BUT, PPC can be VERY unprofitable if done
incorrectly & you can lose $1000s in a day if you aren't watching. I
should know, I lost something like $800+ one day just by not paying close
enough attention to a promotion I was running!
Here's what I would do:
1)Pick out an affiliate offer.
2)Find out which keyword terms the competition is bidding on.
3)Bid on those same terms.
4)Remove non-performing terms.
5)Build a list of people interested in the offer & monetize them.
Then it just comes down to watching the conversion #s & PPC spend. If the
offer works, I'd find similar offers & repeat the process if it was
profitable. The KEY is to find the profitable terms which are revealed
from a tool I discuss below. Let's run through an example right now:
The OFFER.
First, I'd pick out an offer from Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks offers all sorts of
high ticket health supplements. Health & fitness products are great to
promote because they are MASS MARKET. That means, A LOT OF CUSTOMERS.
After all, who doesn't want to lose weight or look better? I haven't found
too many people lately. So, for this example, I'd pick Joe Bucks'
Provillus, which appears to be some form of hair loss treatment, to focus on.
The Research.
Now, THIS is the "secret sauce" to making a PPC promotion turn a tidy
little profit. There is a service that allows me to kind of spy on the
keywords that other people are bidding on in search engines. It's called
Keyword Spy (find it at keywordspy.com).
I'm not sure where they get their data, but I've examined it & it is
pretty accurate in a lot of cases (but not all). So, I'd start searching
around for sites who are also promoting hair loss treatment products.
After putting "Hair loss treatment" into a major search engine & looking
down the side & then scrolling through the ads, I found that there are
more than a dozen PAGES of sponsored links. That's AT LEAST 121
advertisers~ in just one search engine. WOW!
So, next I'd put some domain names into Keyword Spy & see what I can dig
up. After running a few of the domains through the tool, I came up with a
TON of words that look very promising. These are the words I'd focus my
promotion on.
Say, for example, if I found that "hair loss formula" & "hair loss
replacement" were being bid on by a number of people (I'm not sure if they
are or not, this is just for demonstration). I'd at least pursue testing
these terms out to see if they converted for me or not.
Next, I'd buy the product & use it if I was starting to lose my hair. I'd
put up a standard optin page & maybe document my journey: showing the
benefits of Provillus. Of course, I'd back it up with a blog that visitors
are sent to after opting in to receive my free course to avoid any
penalties that a search engine would put on my ad.
And, if that hair loss treatment didn't sell well, there are tons of
competitors' products out there that could be offered to my new
subscribers also. There are a MILLION copywriting courses out there to
show you how to sell by print. But, that isn't the focus of this article.
It's really to show you the research strategy I've revealed here. If you
need to learn copywriting, there are tons of resources out there.
And, as I said before, OF COURSE I'd monitor my PPC spend closely. Most
PPC campaigns I've set up have been unprofitable. It's a 'pick & stick'
strategy that makes the real CASH in this game. Even with good data, I'd
make SURE the words I was bidding on were profitable. And I'd split test
my optin page too: to make sure I was capturing as many subscribers as
possible that hit my page.
In case you didn't figure it out by now, while there are THOUSANDs of
products to promote out there, the key really is the keyword DATA. That's
all there is to it.
Pick a product. Find out the keywords that ARE profitable (get rid of the
ones that aren't) & monetize your visitors.

Get Traffic with Expired Domain Names
One of the greatest difficulties in being a new webmaster is
trying to acquire traffic. This is because trying to build
legitimate traffic requires both time and money. How is this so?
Well, if a webmaster is trying to obtain traffic through search
engines, they will need to spend a great deal of time with
link-building and content creation. If they are trying to get
traffic through a pay-per-click program, they will have to
invest hundreds to thousands of dollars if they want to take
advantage of a high-performance keyword. However, there is
another alternative that can allow a webmaster to get tons of
traffic without having to invest too much in time or money.
It involves purchasing expired domain names.
What is an expired domain name? An expired domain name is a
domain name that never got renewed by its owner. This could
be for a variety of reasons such as disinterest in the original
website, lack of funds or something more serious, such as an
owner's death. Whatever the reason when the renewal fees
aren't paid, the expired domain name sits out in cyberspace
still functioning as any other domain name. There is just
one difference... an expired domain name doesn't have a website
attached to it, so it instead points to a 404 error page.
Indeed, it is a waste of traffic when an expired domain name
points to a 404 web page. Many domain name companies have
realized this, which is why quite a few sell expired domain
names either through a regular, upfront sale or through an
expired domain name auction. The prices for these domain
names can range from less than $100 to over $1 million.
Some of these sales may even include a website.
So, how does a webmaster know if an expired domain name is
worth buying? First, they need to check to see the Google page
rank of an expired domain name. To do this they need to
download Google's toolbar and then type in the URL of the
expired domain name. The toolbar will then let them know what
the page rank is. If the page rank indicator is gray, the
expired domain name must be avoided since this means the site
has been banned by Google. Otherwise, it should be okay,
though webmasters should also take into consideration the
actual number associated with the page rank. If the number is
between 6 and 10, they should strongly consider buying the
expired domain name.
Secondly, webmasters need to find out the Alexa rating of an
expired domain name. The Alexa rating determines how much
traffic has actually gone to a domain name. If a website has
not received a significant amount of traffic, it will not have
an Alexa rating. To determine the Alexa rating for an expired
domain name, webmasters need to visit Alexa.com.
Finally, webmasters need to see how many websites are linking
to the expired domain name. To do this they need to put the
command link: followed by the URL of the expired domain name
into a search engine. If a lot of links are returned, this is
a sign that the traffic coming to the expired domain name
originated from legitimate sources.

Traffic And Links With Onlywire
Every site on the net wants more traffic... lately one of
the better methods for driving that traffic has been the
use of social bookmarking sites and methods. One of these
bookmarking tools called Onlywire (www.onlywire.com) is a
site that submits your bookmarked pages to dozens of other
sites.
It works by manually creating an account on each of the
individual sites like del.icio.us and Furl and then you
enter those credentials into Onlywire and start bookmarking
pages. After the initial time doing the setup and account
creation on the individual sites it is a very easy process
and certainly has the major appeal of being able to kill
multiple birds with one stone.
I have been testing Onlywire out for a short while now to
see if it's a good way to generate traffic or links for a
given site.
The results to date have not been that favorable. I haven't
noticed much in the way of any new backlinks or traffic
from the other sites Onlywire submits pages too.
Another suprise is that several of the sites listed in
Onlywire for submission don't appear to be working or are
not active anymore.
One of the major benefits to using a service like Onlywire
is ease of use, once the accounts are created the actual
process of bookmarking a site or page is virtually
effortless and really takes no time at all.
The final result? It's still early yet to draw any serious
conclusions so I am going to re-tool a little and let the
experiment run longer.
The article marketing course is guaranteed to bring in loads of low
cost targeted traffic that will convert
