Many people who have thought about starting their own internet business don’t pursue it, this is due to the fact that many people believe that that the opportunity to open a successful internet business has already passed them by. This could not be further from the truth, always remember that www stands for world wide web, what does this mean to you, it means that the global reach the internet provides is almost difficult to comprehend. Hey, that rhymes! Let me explain… As I do my research to find hot products, one of the techniques that I keep in the back of my mind is specialization to a particular market. What that means is how can I take an existing product and put it into another niche market. This technique works best with broad topics. For Example: Topic: Marketing
Topic: Cooking
Topic: How to fish
You kind of get the idea of how this works. Now let me tell you some of these specialization techniques that you can put to use. * Find two hot topics and join them together to get that specialization. For example: You may find that quick and easy meals are the hot thing in cooking and find that yoga and Pilates are hot in physical fitness. You can then marry both together to form a unique product. For example: The Pilates cookbook: 35 quick and easy healthy recipes to maximize your strength, flexibility, and energy for your Pilates workouts. I know this might be a little off the wall but this is an example of how to do it. * The beauty of this technique is that you can create a line of products without doing to much work to create them. Let’s use the marketing example above. Let’s say you used the broad topic of marketing for a small business. You decide to create a marketing book for nightclub owners. Well, guess what! Now you can take that same book and tweak it to fit any small niche and sell it. You can create a line of marketing books based on this technique and create multiple streams of income from each niche market. I will recommend that you don’t just change the title but do some research on each market to fit the marketing concepts to those markets. You may be asking yourself, “But don’t you need to be an expert in these fields to create these specialization topics?” And the answer is NO. A gentleman by the name of Rory Fatt created Restaurant Marketing Systems. What he did was take Dan Kennedy’s marketing strategies and apply them to the restaurant business. Now get this. He doesn’t even own a restaurant! He was smart enough to find a hot niche market and fill a need. There are a lot of restaurant owners out there who are struggling in the business and he helps them get what they need…CUSTOMERS! By the way, he’s a millionaire based on this one niche. You can go into any bookstore and any library and spend a couple of hours doing the research. Here’s how to do it: * Find a broad topic and just narrow it down to a specific niche
This is easy to do because all you’re doing is gathering information and putting it into your own words and applying it to your specific niche. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel here. All the research has been done for you at the bookstore/library. The best approach is to simplify the information. Your niche will love you for it! Here’s another idea if you just want to test the waters. Find your broad topic and select a specific chapter from the books and write a simple report based on this chapter and offer it to your niche. You can make good money writing and selling these reports. So, in a nutshell, here is the formula: Broad topic + Narrow niche + info gathering + 123 easy to follow guide/report= Hot selling info product If you’re looking to really be successful in the info marketing business then the best word of advice is to specialize. The more specific you make the niche the better. Why? Because when you take a topic that is directed to a certain group of people and not geared to the general public, these groups of people are going to say “Hey! It’s estimated that by the year 2010 sales generated on the net will surpass 300 billion does that sound like a market that’s ship has already sailed, I think not! The tools that are available to anyone with an internet connection are truly outstanding. They can take a complete novice and completely change how they view the internet, taking it from a source of entertainment to a source of income most of us have never dreamed of.
When you surf the net do you come across a lot of ads for various products or services? Even if you’re not the type of person who frequently makes purchases from the web keep in mind that these ads would not exist if someone wasn’t making money. So why not you? Did you no that you can get your own website up and running in just a few short days at a cost of less then $50 imagine having an overhead like that to get your business started not as risky as one might think.
The number of products available for one to sell is almost limitless you don’t even need your own products you can make a great living just collecting commission for selling someone else’s products. Your web site will be running 24 hours a day 7 days a week earning you money even while your asleep.
A few basics you should consider, Rome wasn’t built in a day any new business takes time and effort, make sure you will be able to balance your financial situation while your business is growing. A good plan and goal setting makes all the difference. In most cases you will be able to get your business off the ground well before you have to make any decision about leaving your current job (another huge advantage of online business)
The time to act is now the internet has really only been mainstream now for roughly 10 years and it’s opportunities will continue to grow, it’s up to you whether you will be on the ship or not but I can assure you it hasn’t sailed yet! To all your success with all future endeavors.

The internet has made this much easier. You can now create an ebook that can be downloaded without having to involve a publisher. There are ezine owners always looking for good quality articles and reports for their ezines. A well-written book or series of articles will establish your reputation as an expert in your field.
Set one up on the internet and distribute it to your customers. This is an excellent way to regularly keep your name in front of your prospects as an authority on your subject.
Used correctly these can gain you a lot of positive publicity. Make sure the press release looks like newsworthy information and not like an advertisement.
Set up a user-friendly website that will appeal to customers and you have expanded the reach of your reputation. Keep it timely and informative, and people will continue to return to your site. If you don't know how to set up a website there are plenty of web designers who do. Alternatively enquire at a college teaching web design. Some students might want to build a portfolio.
If you are a member of an association it will enhance your credibility. But don't just be a member. Be an active member. This will build your reputation among your peers and lead to useful introductions. Membership can have many benefits, and it will certainly keep you up to date in your field.
You can boost your reputation and influence by speaking to the right people. Keep your name in front of your prospects. Organize mutually beneficial ventures. You cannot predict what may come from a contact so make as many as you can.
Even speaking to a local group of people can establish you as an expert and get you referrals that may lead to a wider audience. If you are not sure you can speak in public, preparation and rehearsal are the keys to success.
If you have knowledge that people would like to tap into you can pass on your expertise. If your presentation is well planned you will be seen as an authority in your subject. You will also meet people who are likely to recommend you to others. If you are teaching a hot topic you will also be gaining a useful income stream.
Here is where you can shine, answer or give your opinion on a topic that is in your area of expertise. Or ask a question related to your expertise. Remember to create a signature line that shows your area of expertise.
