How are things in your world?

Over the last week I've continued on with creating webpages and directories to make the most use I can out of Private Label content. Many of the new pages are being monetized with Adsense blocks and a link block together with ClickBank, Amazon and SearchFeed. Wherever I can I create links to my own relevant products. All this activity is starting to produce results which is the motivator to keep working the plan. I have been fortunate lately to pick up some Adsense websites. In the next day or so (today if possible) I'll be uploading an "Internet Business Resource" directory that illustrates part of what I'm up to. The directory will be at home-business-and-marketing.com/internet-business/

I also recently picked up a package of 155 Adsense websites but I have found they need a lot of work because the sites are not particularly well structured and contain irrelevant content. I don't want a business related page linking to articles about cats and dogs.

The latest ebooks I've published have been uploaded to
ebooks-to-succeed.com
"Viral Marketing Riches" with a bonus "Article Cash"

Well I had best push on with the "Internet Business" directory.

To your Home Business Success,

Bryan

Tips for Selecting an RSS Reader

by Sharon Housley

Reading RSS Feeds
While many have resisted the urge to decipher the meaning
behind the acronym RSS, the vast majority of technically
knowledgeable online surfers have begun incorporating RSS
into their daily routines. Why go through the hassle of
understanding something new, the novice might want to know?
Because it saves time, and time is a precious commodity
these days.

The contents of an RSS feed can be read any number of ways.
A variety of tools, both fee based and free, to read RSS
feeds are available on the Internet.

When determining what RSS feed reader to download, thought
should be given to security. More an more publishers are
using RSS feeds as a way to deliver podcasts or media
rich-content. Users of desktop software will want to find an
RSS reader that allows for rich media to be delivered safely
and securely.

Web surfers might want to give thought to another
consideration of cross compatibility and synchronization.
With the advances in RSS readers, many subscribers use
multiple platforms to read their feeds. While this is
convenient, if the the web surfer is not using a
synchronized solution, they find themselves marking the same
feed items read multiple times.

These days, aggregators are available in all shapes and
sizes. Determine what type of RSS reader you would like to
use to aggregate and manage your RSS feeds.

1. Desktop RSS Reader Software
A number of desktop RSS readers are available for download
from the Internet. Many desktop readers allow subscribers to
categorize and group their RSS feeds. Many users find it
helpful to segregate personal and business feeds.

examples include:

2. Web Based RSS Aggregator
Web based RSS news aggregators are accessible via any
computer that has Internet access using a login and
password. Web based readers are particularly useful to
individuals who travel frequently.

examples include:

3. Browser Plug In
RSS readers are now being incorporated into newer versions
of web browsers. In addition many popular browsers have
third party tools that expand their functionality to
incorporate RSS feeds.

Examples include:
Firefox Sage - http://sage.mozdev.org/
Internet Explorer FeedScout -

4. Email RSS Reader
A handful of popular email clients have add on modules that
allow users to manage their RSS feeds in their existing
email client.

Examples include:
Newsgator Inbox - http://www.newsgator.com

5. Mobile RSS Readers
As the world becomes remote, mobile RSS readers are becoming
increasingly popular. Surfers on the run appreciate
receiving content updates remotely.

example include:
Mobile RSS Reader - http://www.dace.fi/

Once you have a news reader setup, you will need to populate
it with RSS feeds. Website visitors, subscribe to RSS feeds
by adding the URL of the feed to their RSS reader or
aggregator. Many publishers use orange boxes or buttons
marked RSS or XML to signify that an RSS feed exists for a
website. In order to discover the URL of the RSS feed simply
click the icon. Do not panic if as a result of your click,
you see a page that contains code that makes little sense.
Simply add the URL to the RSS reader. The RSS reader will
decipher the code and display the feed's content in a format
that is easily readable.

Some websites have added chicklets or icons for popular news
readers to make subscriptions very easy. In those cases, you
will see a subscription button for specific RSS readers,
simply click the icon that corresponds with your RSS reader
and the feed will appear in your RSS reader. Some desktop
aggregators and integrated readers will automatically detect
that an RSS feed is available on a website. The RSS reader
will pop up and ask if you wish to subscribe to the RSS
feed.

While it does require initial effort to setup a solution for
aggregating and reading RSS feeds, users find that it saves
a lot of time in the long run. Determine what solution best
meets your RSS needs and begin aggregating information.

Home Based Internet Marketing Business

By Kristy Annely

These days everybody wants to make money on the Internet but not many are successful at doing so. The reason is pure and simple – they don’t know how to reach out to their specific target audience and impress them. This is where Internet marketing steps comes in.

However, marketing, on-line or off-line, is a continuous process and to run a successful business you need the necessary skills and the time to take it up. Some prefer to concentrate on running the business while specialists do the marketing. That is why there’s an ever-growing demand for Internet marketers in the cyber world.

The world is full of choices, and you can choose to market anything from safety pins to sophisticated software online. It’s up to your resources and creativity to choose what and to whom you want to market. Those of you who want to start small and set-up your on-line marketing career with little investment can opt for affiliate marketing, which has emerged as the most popular way of advertising on the Internet.

An affiliate program is nothing more than marketing other people’s products or services by simply providing a link to the supplier’s website from your own website. Attract as many people as possible to your site and get them to click on the supplier’s web link. Whatever sales materialize from your website are recorded through a tracking system, and you get a commission on each sale. Thanks to the aggressive marketing of these companies, you might find a handful of suppliers who are eager to hire you if you can promise more customers. Internet marketing is a lucrative career choice for those who have an aptitude for marketing, whether direct or affiliate. For those of you who think big and have considerable resources, sophisticated training and skills in marketing, you can direct on-line marketing services to other businesses.

There are no thumb rules for success as an Internet marketer. Only your ability to identify and reach a target audience for your customer in a unique, scalable and cost-effective manner will make you stand out among the myriad of Internet marketers flooding cyberspace with their services.

Do Pay Per Click Advertising Campaigns Really Work?

Pay per click advertising works through search engines that have an agreement with a business. This business will place a small ad on the results page for certain key terms. The listing on the search engine page usually has a title, a short heading, and a short promotional wording blurb. Depending on the search engine, the advertiser may or may not get to control the text. The advertiser pays nothing to appear on the results page itself. He or she only pays a previously agreed upon amount to the search engine when a visitor clicks on the ad itself.

Despite its popularity and its once record profit returns, pay per click advertising has lost something in returns. It is still, however, one of the best, fastest, and most effective methods of advertising on the web. According to Google's record profit posting recently, lots of people see these ads and click on them. While it is true that pay per click advertising is only worth it if the sale gets from click to close, those businesses that do manage to close the sale have an excellent deal in their hands with pay per click. This means that customers are usually directed to their site for about five cents each, depending on the price of the key word. Pay per click advertising is even better than high search engine rankings because the ads can go up in just a few minutes while changing your web page content to improve your rankings, even with the help of a search engine oriented text company, can take weeks.

There are many different current companies that offer pay per click advertising. Google's pay per click program is called AdWords. Google estimates that over eighty percent of internet users visit Google as a search engine. That results more customers seeing the ads than most businesses ever thought possible. Google allows you to create your own ads. They do, however, have a service that will design your ad for you if you choose. Yahoo is the other most popular pay per click program. Yahoo's Overture works through partner sites like MSN and Alta Vista. Through these many sites, they claim to allow you to reach over ninety percent of internet users.

Choosing a company to sign up with can be difficult, but the most difficult part of pay per click advertising will be the planning and writing stages. To make the best pay per click ad campaign, you have to bid on key word phrases that work best for you, write the most effective ads, and have a strong, quality page when they click on your ad. The price of some key word phrases is extraordinarily high, so picking the right phrases immediately is your best bet. If you know how to catch the customer's attention and offer them a perfect presentation, you will get the sale almost every time. If you don't, you will lose some serious money with pay per click advertising.

Some people recommend using a search engine oriented professional to design your pay per click advertising campaign. However, the right campaign can be self-managed, with the right skills. You need some understanding of consumer psychology, excellent writing skills, and plenty of time to research what will work for you. Before you get ready to start your pay per click campaign, be sure to do some research into what is out there with regard to your product or services. When you get ready to write, you'll want to notice that the best campaigns are legitimize by what their pages declare about them. Without that legitimacy, your ad will not only fail, it may be removed by your pay per click service. The search engine company you choose to work with may be able to help you find the right key words, but their suggestions can sometimes be ineffective. You can find the best key words by using several services and performing web research on a regular basis.

Pay per click advertising campaigns can be very effective if your ad is well written and if your target site helps to complete the sale with the customer. Without these elements, pay per click advertising is simply a waste of your valuable time and money. You would be better off with a traditional ad campaign.
