I trust all is going well in your efforts to Prosper Online.
People start businesses for various reasons. You may want a
better lifestyle for you and your family, or you may be tired of
working for others. However, starting a business, no matter what
the reason, is not easy. You will have to have dedication and
patience.
First, you have to find something you are interested in. Just
because something to profitable for one person, does not mean
that you are going to be successful. The key is to find something
that interests you, because if you are not interested in it, then
chances are you will not be able to give the time and effort that
it takes to be successful.
You will have to look into what you are interested in, then you
will have to research various businesses or investments. Get a
piece of paper and write down all your interests and business
ideas that is related to that topic. This is the first step to
starting your business.
Once you have decided what interests you, then you will need
to start researching what kind of business you will want.
Depending on your situation, you will have a number of options
including: an online business, physical business(a business that
has a store or office), a mobile business (a business where you
provide products or services onsite), or home based business.
What would benefit you and your business more? If you are not
sure, you may want to consider starting with a few different
options to see what works the best.

More Great Adsense Quick Tips
According to the Adsense terms you can place up to three ad
units on each page along with a maximum of two Google AdSense
for search boxes, a single link unit may also be placed on
each page.
You can also include two referral units from each referral
product in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link
units.
Be careful not to overload your page with more ads than
content. Try to create a balance that allows you to blend
your ad units in with the rest of the content. You will find
that this will help increase your click through rate.
Which type of ad units work better.
Google has run tests that show that; horizontal ads generally
work better than vertical ones. The idea being that the eye
is more used to reading horizontally and so is more likely
to be familiar with this layout.
It has also been suggested that the larger rectangular ads
that read horizontally will receive a higher click through.
The best way for you to find out which ad format will work
best on your site is by testing and comparing your results.
If you have three ad block units on your page, but you
still want more you can also add one of Google's link units
in addition to the other three units.
The link units are small blocks of links that take the reader
to a page of ads that are related to the topic of your site
in the same way that the usual text ads do.
The nice thing about link units is that they look a lot
like navigation links and can easily blend in with your
page design. This will give your visitors the impression that
they are clicking through a link on your page rather than
an ad.
It is always good to get high-quality ads on your pages, but
you don't necessarily want to show ads from your direct
competitors.
If you are getting unwanted ads on your site, Google has a tool
called the "Competitive Ad Filter "that allows you to choose
which ads not to show on your site.
The competitive ad filter works by blocking ads that link to
specific URLs. This way, you can easily block all ads that are
linked to your competitors website. By entering a top level
domain such as www.my-competition.com, you'll also block all
ads that link to subdirectories below that domain.
This can come in very handy if your competition is selling the
same product that you are promoting on your page.
Here is another way that you can monopolize Google Adsense on
your site and help your visitors at the same time.
You can help your visitors and increase your Adsense earnings
at the same time, just by adding a Google search box to your
web pages. This works out great because when someone uses the
search box on your site they will be shown ads on the exact
term that they typed in. If they click on any of the ads that
they see while searching then you get the commission.
When you place the search box on your site you will have the
ability to choose whether you want your visitor to be able to
search your website as well as the web. You can even have search
results that are tailored specifically to the topics on your site.

Having your own product.
If you are good at writing or programming then one of the best
ways to make money is by making your own product. At first it
is probably best to try a subject that you know something about
and try to find a problem that you could offer a solution to.
That way you know your audience and that they have a problem
that you have solved. Once you have your own product then you
can start your own affiliate program to sell your product for
you.
If you have a little bit of money and a great idea for a
product then you can hire someone to create the product for
you from a place like Elance.com or Rentacoder.com. This will
help you start earning profits from you new product even faster
with less work on your part.
Whether you sell your own product or are selling as an
affiliate it's a good idea to start a website or at the very
least a blog or weblog.
This gives you a presence on the Internet and a base to sell
from. If you promote or sell good products then it is
likely that people will come back and buy from you again.
It also gives your customers and prospects a chance to get to
know you. Did you know that people are more likely to purchase
from someone that they know and trust rather than someone that
they don't know anything about?
Increasing your earnings by starting mailing list.
When you start collecting email addresses from visitors that
come to your website you will see a definite increase in
your marketing efforts.
To do this you can offer them a free gift, report or
subscription to your newsletter. With a newsletter you will
have an excellent opportunity to build up a loyal readership.
Then you can send a message to them every so often and remind
them that you are still around.
People are smart. Make sure you provide them with good
information that is related to your product so that they will
keep on reading. Be sure not to bombard them with just sales
messages. Remember you want them to trust you!
Get a good autoresponder like Aweber or Get Response.
These are automatic mailing systems that will capture contact
information from people who subscribe to your mailing list.
They will also deliver automated messages for you.
This makes following up with your readers much easier.
All you have to do is add the contact form or email address
provided by your autoresponder service to your website site.
This way people can sign up to receive messages from you.
It is best to use what is called double opt-in when you are
collecting email addresses. This means that people who join your
list have to confirm their request to join before you can
send them any email. This is the safest way to practice
email marketing.

More Web Traffic Tips
One way to generate traffic with content on your site without
buying or writing it yourself, is to have a page where your
visitors can submit their own articles. This is a great way to
keep a steady flow of fresh content being added to your site
without much extra work on your part.
The search engines love fresh content that is updated regularly.
Using online forums to get more traffic.
Joining a forum that is on the same topic of your site is a
great way to get free traffic. Once you have joined you can
add your website address to your profile and your signature
box. This way every time you post to the forum a link to your
site will show.
Make sure that you post frequently and that you add value to
the forum. This way you and your site will be seen in a good
light and you will receive more traffic. Keep in mind the more
you post the more your link will be seen.
Adding a forum to your site.
People like to have their say and if you add a forum to your
site, it can be a good way to keep people coming back to
your site to join in with the discussions. Make sure that the
topic of your forum is related to your site and what you are
selling and you should see a nice increase in traffic.
You can find many types of software that can be installed
to make your forum run smoothly. Check with your web host
sometimes they will provide you with easy to install forum
software that you can start using right away.
Make sure that you have submitted your site to all of the
major search engines. The search engines can give you a great
deal of free traffic, but be patient as it may take a while
for them to index your site and start sending traffic.
And don't forget the search engines like good content, so
if you want to get a lot of free traffic from them, then you
need to provide good keyword rich content on your site and
update it on a regular basis.
Buying links is a good way to get more traffic and give your
site a bit more credibility with the search engines. It does
cost money, but if you do it right it can pay off.
There are many services that can help you find websites that
sell links. Before you spend your money you will want to
consider a few things like; is the site related to yours? Does
the site receive a lot of traffic? Does it have good search
engine rankings? Make sure you do your research, so you don't
waste your money.
Also keep in mind that you will get better results if you
purchase links from sites with a higher page rank and traffic
volume than you will from ones that don't.
