More Great Adsense Quick Tips

If you are trying to target a particular type of Google ad for your site but it keeps putting up a different type then you need to make sure that the keyword that is related to the ads that you are targeting is repeated enough in the page so that Ad sense knows that is what the page is about.

For the best results use different keywords and/or keyword phrases on each page of your website. Optimize each page with the keywords that are most relevant to type of ad that you want to show on that particular page.

You can also put your keywords in your title tag, meta tag keywords and description. This will help you achieve more targeted ads on your page.

Putting pictures that are on the same subject as the ads that show on your page can improve your click through rates a great deal.

But make sure that you do not put pictures of people looking at the ads or in any way indicating that people should click on the ads. According to the program policies you may not direct your visitors attention to the ads by using arrows or other graphical images.

This does not mean that you can not use graphics on your Adsense pages. It just means that you have to use them in a way that will complement the content of the page and not for the sole purpose of getting people to click on your ads.

There are many tools that can help you decide what keywords your should target to get the best results with your Adsense campaign.

A good free tool is the Yahoo bid tool (Overture) (http://www.vretoolbar.com/keywords). There you can type in words related to the topic of the content on your page and see how many people are searching for them in Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL.

It will also tell you the estimated amount of Google Adwords traffic and cost per click that keyword is receiving. This will help you choose which keywords will yield the best results on your Adsense pages.

A great way to learn how to get the most out of your Adsense efforts is by joining the Adsense forums. It is always a good idea to keep up with what is going on and you can get some really good tips and information on the best way to make more money from your Adsense.

Once you join you will be able to search for help and ask questions. The forum has many members that make a full time living from Adsense and who can really give you good advice on how to improve your earnings.

Google provides you with an excellent tool to help you preview the ads that appear on your page. This tool allows you to see the sample ads and formats, preview colors on your page, check the destination of the ads and geo targeted locations to see what visitors in other countries will see.

You should always take the time to experiment with your Adsense ads to improve your CTR (click through rate). So that you are sure to make the most from your Adsense efforts.

Other Great Internet Marketing Quick Tips

Unless you have a straight sales site that you are getting traffic to with paid advertising, you will need to create some content to help get traffic to your website.

The search engines love fresh relevant content. By adding articles and information focused on good keywords that are specific to the theme of your website you will get better listing results. The better the keywords less competition you will have.

If you can't or do not want to write the content yourself you can hire a ghost writer to do it for you. Or you can purchase ready made private label content that will allow you to sign your name to it as the author. Just make sure you are getting what you pay for. You can expected to pay more for original content that is written for you and less for ready made content.

Let's say that you do not want to sell products or that you want to generate more income from your website. You can do this with the Google Adsense program.

You must first sign up for an account. Then you will be taken step by step through a process that will give you a piece of code that you can put on your website and then Google will show targeted ads on your pages and you will get paid when someone clicks on them.

The ads will be based on the content on your page. So make sure that you provide good keyword rich articles on the pages where you will be putting the Adsense code.

Don't worry if you aren't familiar with editing code. There are very clear instructions on the Google Adsense website.

Have you submitted your website to the search engines yet?

If you want to get free traffic from the search engines you will want to submit your website to the main search engines. Like Google, Yahoo and MSN. There are others, but you can start with these. Just follow the submission instructions.

It is also a good idea get other sites to link to yours. Having links from other sites means that the search engines think that your site is a bit more important and you can also get traffic straight from the links on these sites.

There are many books available on the subject of getting free traffic by using search engine optimization. There are also many companies that will submit your site for you and help you get better results. Just make sure you choose carefully before you invest your money.

You can write articles on the topic of your website, whether it is to promote a product or to increase your Adsense revenue.

Once you have completed the articles you can also submit them to article directories. This will give you even more traffic to your website. Once submitted the directory will then let other ezine and websites owners use it and it will include a link back to your website.

This is good for you in many ways. It will help you get traffic and links. It will also help you become an expert on your chosen topic in the eyes of the people who read your articles.

Here is a good way ensure that you will have repeat visitors to your website.

Always make sure that your website offers helpful information and good quality content that is updated on a regular basis. This will keep people coming back for regular visits to see what's new. It will also give you a reason to contact them and let them know that you have added something that will interest them on your website.

Having repeat visitors will make it much easier for you to earn a good income, whether it is from Adsense or from selling a product or service.

Once you are successful with one product or site and are making good money from it, then it is important to grow your business by adding in multiple streams of income. You can do this easily by creating another product or site in the same niche as the one that you are already selling in.

This way you will be able to cross promote and increase the visibility of your products. It is important to continue to add new products or services to your income stream because this way if one looses popularity or sales slow down you will have more than one income to rely on.

Let's talk about viral marketing.

Viral marketing is all about giving away your own free product or service along with your ad copy. When someone gets your free product they are also allowed to pass it along as a freebie. This is a quick way to multiple your marketing efforts.

You can do this with ebooks, software, articles, audio's and videos as long as you can attach your marketing message to it you can use it.

By using viral marketing strategies, you can reach out all over the Internet with much less effort.

More Web Traffic Tips

Advertising your site is another great way to get more traffic.

We have talked about buying links, now it's time to think about buying advertising space. To do this look for websites on a similar topic as yours.

Once you find a good site that is related to but not in competition with yours take a look around and see if they sell advertising space. If you can't find a link that let's you know what their rates are then just email the owner and ask if they would be interested in selling or even trading some adverting space to you.

After you have worked out all of the details you can put a text ad or banner with a link back to your site.

Google Adwords is a good way to drive immediate traffic to your website. Adwords is a pay per click advertising program that allows you to pay only if someone clicks on your ad.

If you don't have an Adwords account just go to adwords.google.com and sign up for one. Once you have an account you can start advertising your site. The nice thing about using Adwords is that you can start seeing results almost immediately.

Make sure before you jump in that you take a little bit of time and review the help files so that you are familiar with the way the program works. This will save you a lot of time in the future. adwords.google.com/support/

Buying traffic is another option and it can give your traffic stats a very quick boost. It can also be profitable, but you have to be very careful. A great deal of the traffic that is sold is of no use at all.

That is why it is important to know exactly what you are buying. Make sure you research any company that you are interested in using. Don't be afraid to ask questions like; where does the traffic come from? Is it real one time visitors or just computer counted hits? Is the traffic targeted or random?

See if you can contact former customers and find out how the service worked for them. Visit marketing forums and ask if anyone else has used it to find out if it is any good. Remember you get what you pay for. The higher the quality the more you can expect to pay.

Did you know that you can buy an expired domain name that still gets traffic and use it to get more traffic to your website?

Then all you have to do is redirect it to your own website, but you need to make sure that the domain name is receiving traffic that is related to the theme of your website and that the traffic is real visitors and not just inflated clicks.

There are companies and information that help you learn how to profit from using expired domains. Just do a quick search for "expired domain name" and you will find several to choose from.

This can be a great way to get traffic if it's done right!

Video sharing is wildly popular and you can use it to get a flood of targeted traffic to your website.

Do this by creating a short introduction or how to video and posting it in a social video sharing site like YouTube. Provide a few references to your site with your URL of course.

When you post your video be sure to use a catchy title, teasing description, and appropriate tags to make it easy for others to find. Then copy the code that video site provides you with and embed the link to your video on your site. This will save your bandwidth and storage space because the video will be hosted on the video sharing site that you are using.

Another benefit of using a video sharing site is that they provide a "Send to Friend" feature for your video. This feature is a link that allows others to share your video with a friend or hopefully more.
